nazi forces that already have r e captured o n c - q u n r t r r of t h

1940-41 blitz. A few German squadrons gave London
one of t h e sharpest fire raids
since t h e The nazis dropped hundreds of
incendiaries, interspersed w i t

A Pale Imitation.
For a few t h o u s a n d
Londoners n e a r t h e bombs, it w a s
sort of a p a l e imitation of t h e
destruction going o n i n B e r l i n last night as t h e royal air force
renewed t he a t t a c k on the German capital. For t h e remainder it w a s l
i k e most recent London raids—a big f i r e works
display which
almost was impersonal, because so much fire was going u p a t t h
e r a i d e r s and so comparatively l i t t l e was coming down.
